Chris has been a financial advisor since January 1992, starting as a self employed, tied agent, with Zurich insurance, where he created a referral-based database of both domestic and corporate clients. The services provided to those clients covered the full spectrum of financial planning, including pensions, investments and mortgage broking.
In 2002 he became an Independent Financial Advisor in order to expand the range of products and services to his clients, and to be able to operate fully independently without ties or bias.
In 2007 Chris formulated the basis of the business which has developed into Davenport Property Wealth Management Ltd, created with the sole purpose of introducing its client’s capital to higher returns from a portfolio of property investment opportunities both in the UK and around the World.
Qualifications include:
- Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (holding a full Financial Planning Certificate)
- Member of The Personal Finance Society
- Holder of the Mortgage Advice Qualification and level 3 certificate in equity release.
Ed has developed his skills as an integrated marketer over the past thirty-four years, working successfully across both print and digital media to achieve powerful marketing solutions for companies ranging from global blue chips (Toyota, Lexus, Pearson, American Express) and large nationals (Palmer & Harvey, Woolwich Building Society, Langmead Farms, London and Colonial) to SMEs, local entrepreneurs and start-ups.
He has contributed design and marketing skills to some of the world’s best-known brands and some of the most successful companies in the UK. Having worked for this extensive range of clients, he has successfully contributed to a very large range of marketing and design challenges, from individual projects, through to corporate and strategic marketing planning and global brand development.
Ed has a BA (Honours) in Graphic Design from St Martin’s College, London, and has consistently won awards for his marketing and design (his design of the Pearson corporate site won “Financial Site of the Year”, and his branding of “Nigel’s Eco Store” won the Yahoo award for best On-Line Shopping site).
Ed has been intimately involved in setting up, advising and supplying marketing to literally hundreds of companies, including some in which he has been both a Director and shareholder. It is in both these capacities that he has worked with Chris Mansfield in Davenport Property Wealth Management Ltd since its inception in 2007
