Cape Verde attracts prestigous hotelier due to tourism demands –

The prestigous Hilton group, who have been planning to open in Cape Verde since The Resort Group first made them aware of its potential some 3 years ago, are now making an official move into the island.

The Hilton group will manage two hotels in Cape Verde, the first on Sal Island and the second, which was recently announced, in the capital city of Praia, according to weekly newspaper A Semana.

The first hotel unit managed by the group in Cape Verde, Hotel Hilton Sal, is scheduled to start being built in October. It is a luxury, three-story building that will be built between Hotel Crioula and Djad’ Sal, in the city of Santa Maria, said Nuno Martins, chief executive of Cabo Verde Investimentos….More at Cape Verde to have two hotels managed by the Hilton group – Macauhub

Land and planning is limited on the small Cape Verde islands, so it's key that any players get in whilst they still can. Currently tour operators cannot get enough capacity to meet the demands of the market, so for a good hotelier making a move now is a high priority.
